    Hi Denis

We agree, it can be a pain. This is why, once you have established a single Blueosund Player, all new or additional Players will replicate information such as Favourites, Music Services, Locla Libraries and Playlists automagically.

These are also updated across all players when any changes are made or a Player restarts. There is no need to set these up individually.

Only Presets do not replicate form player to player. This is by design.

WiFi credentials are not replicated for security reasons so Players must have WiFi credentials entered manually the first time...but during this process, your BluOS Player checks and performs a software update to ensure you are on the latest version of BluOS.

    Tony,

Regarding "Only Presets do not replicate form player to player. This is by design."  Can you explain further in terms *why* this is by design?

An argument to allow Presets to either be automatically replicated, or at least manually exported/imported is for ease of Control in larger deployments, and especially the use of Alexa integration.  I have 10 players so far in various locations around my home & property, and there is an Alexa with earshot of all of these.  If I want to hear my Rock Preset, I want to be able to say something like "Alexa, ask Blue Voice to play preset fifteen in the Kitchen" or for Alternative I want to say "...play Preset eleven...", For this to happen, I have to manually add all of my presets on all of players with the exact same list in the same order...kind of lame, especially if I want to delete or change the order of the Presets.

Favorites are not precise - you can't differentiate one Tidal favorite from another Tidal favorite based on Genre or anything else, for example.  "Alexa, ask Blue Voice to play my favorites on Tidal”...not enough.

If "by design" really means that this is too difficult to add Preset sharing directly in the Controller software/UI, I think it's very reasonable to at least allow for manual export/import Preset lists or, even better, to expose the Preset feature set in the API so the User Community can share scripts to improve their experience.

Anyways, I'm experienced enough in this world to know that this feature will likely never become a reality - as folks have been asking for it for years and the sentiment seems to be firm on that it is not a priority - but I do think it's important to periodically remind the developers that customers ask for things they truly WANT, and not because they enjoy typing in tiny boxes on webpages or being told NO over the phone.  Eventually, the most critical customers will move to a platform that offers the features they want, and many other customers will simply not expand their system or not use it as much as they would otherwise.

Parting comment - "Only Presets do not replicate form player to player." misses the point entirely...**no other feature can do what Presets do, and people WANT them to replicate from player to player!**

Fully understand your needs Andrew, but not for me so if this was implemented I would need the feature turned off, so as a user I do not want them to replicate.

Not all BluOS players have a TV attached or a CD player, so immediately the first TV preset becomes redundant and I don’t want K-pop or anything from One Direction or Disney princess in any of the players presets I use and rather keep individuals players and their presets to themselves.

If I lived alone then it may be different.

I agree that this should be configurable, but that‘s what Andrew asked for („ at least manually exported/imported „). Imagine several grouped Pulse Flex players, and you want the push buttons of all players run the same presets - currently this is a pain to configure…

    Hi Andrew

Quick fix. Use Follow Me; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/230895488-Use-FollowMe-to-Move-Music-From-Player-to-Player

    • Take current Preset and play it
    • Use Follow Me to move to the destination Player
    • On the Now Playing Screen, once moved, save as a Preset on the new destination Player
