SoundCloud Support

Thanks for your feedback. As more and more Music Services back away from Deep API integration and take up end-point models, you can do that immediately with BluOS and the SoundCloud App via AirPlay your iPhone or Tablet to your Bluesound POWERNODE EDGE.
Not an iOS user? Then Bluetooth your Android device. Here's how; www.bluesound.com/bluetooth

Is this too much to ask to accounting the Android also iOS I have no interest in.

I've been toying with switching from Sonos to BluOS (I already own a bunch of NAD hardware), but can't justify that without SoundCloud support. Tony W. has posted the same reply (above) to several posts about this, saying you can do it with AirPlay, but I suspect the integration will not be comparable. For example, I have long mixed SoundCloud sourced music, streamed and local tracks from Apple Music, and .flac on an external drive via playlists that are (were) very nicely managed through the Sonos app. There are all sorts of creative things you can do with that. I don't want to give that up.

Hi PGT
Safe to assume you also saw my post here; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360037409334/comments/17847131337111. Let Soundcloud know too.

No I had not. That's a bit more promising. Thanks for the link. And, yes, we'll try pestering SoundCloud. I might have a bit more leverage through a young artist member, who I think is the type that SoundCloud built its reputation for serving: https://on.soundcloud.com/ix9YwgJfu1G3ebLFA.

Hi all
Thought I'd chime in with my Soundcloud workaround as I've just purchased the Bluesound Icon.
As an avid Soundcloud user with an extensive library that's taken years to build - it was critical I had access.
Dependent on what inputs you have available, the trick is to use a Google Chromecast end point connected to a HDMI audio extraction device if you are like me and have only the optical input free - they are super cheap to buy and well made.
The kit below comes complete with an optical connection into the Icon. Here is a link to one in Australia:
As feedback, the optical implementation inside the Icon is superb and I found there is a much improved fidelity to Soundcloud's (lossy) audio over my previous experience using Chromecast's HDMI or cloud-based implementation.
Overall - in Australian dollars - its $29 for the HDMI audio extraction device and about $50 for a Chromecast end point to do this.
