Apps' volume control out of sync all the time

    Hi Mario

    Volume settings in the App are receiving this information from the Player itself. If App volume changes on 1 App are not immediately reflected in other Apps, check your network signal strength. It might be a good idea to clear the network cache on your router. Please reboot your router, wait 5 minutes then reboot your players. wait 5 more minutes and relaunch the App. 

    If problems persist after a network restart, please select Settings, Send Support Request so our Support Crew can review your logs and troubleshoot further.

    What are the versions of your controller apps, what are the operating system versions of your devices, what player are you using and what is its version of BluOS?

    These pieces of information might help.

    Also, was there a time when things worked properly and,   if so, can you remember roughly when this issue first appeared?

    BluOS Controller (macOS Ventura 13.7.1) 4.4.1

    iOS app: 4.8.0

    BluOS: 4.8.7

    Bluesound Powernode

    This issue started happening a few months ago, but I cannot pinpoint the date.

    For example, now it worked when I set the volume on iOS and then opened the macOS app to check the volume.

    (Windows app 4.4.1, IOS app 4.6.2, and player BluOS app 4.4.10. I'm trying to build up the courage to update everything.)

    I've been running my Vault 2 with the fixed volume setting as my ears tell me that the sound quality is slightly better this way, but today I switched back to test this issue for myself.

    Using the controller apps on my iPad and my Windows 10 laptop, it's all working correctly. Each controller app's volume changes are reflected in the other controller app.

    I also checked what happened when I switched back to fixed volume using the Windows app, and the iPad app immediately reflected the change.

    So.... all good here today. :)

    Hey, Ian,

    There's no sound, but you can definitely see the volume bar not being in sync. If you want, I'll try reproducing the issue and recording the sound.

    That looks very similar to the volume control issue that I and many others have reported across many years, and that Bluesound has also now been able to reproduce. (It might not be the same, but it looks similar.)

    I own a Vault 2, so what I discovered relates to my Vault 2, but it might also apply to your Powernode.

    Please can you perform the following steps and let me know what happens?

    1) Set the Powernode volume to 25% using either controller.

    2) Close the iPad controller app (using the three dots at the top of the screen to do this).

    3) Hold the iPad upright (portrait) and launch the iPad controller app in portrait mode. The iPad volume slider should be at 25% because that is the Powernode volume setting. Is this correct?

    4) Using the iPad controller app, alter the Powernode volume to 50%. The volume should increase to 50% and the iPad volume slider should be at 50% (because you you put it there).

    5) Rotate the iPad to landscape mode. The controller display should switch to landscape.

    6) What is the position of the volume slider?

    7) In landscape mode, use the iPad controller to set the Powernode volume to 10%. The volume should decrease to 10% and the iPad volume slider should be at 10% (because you put it there).

    8) Rotate the iPad back to portrait orientation. The controller display should switch to portrait orientation.

    9) What is the position of the volume slider?
