Node shuffle mode

Is there a maximum number of songs on an Amazon Unlimited Playlist that will shuffle?

I have my library broken into playlists that are over 1k songs. Once the Node plays a group of songs, it reverts back to standard play mode. It still shows "shuffle" but it just plays the entire album /playlist. Ipad used for controller
