Sticky surface of white Vault 2i

I have the same problem as Paul Newman noted 2 years ago.

My much beloved Vault has a very sticky surface to touch.

The sales people were not interested in advice and I was put on to the local service agents who service my other NAD products. They also would not give advice and suggested contacting you on-line. Is the de- natured alcohol the only fix for this problem? Are there any other solutions to this issue. Two friends purchased a Vault after seeing mine - both in black -  and they also have the same issue.
