Pulse Soundbar+ issue in Home Cinema Setup
AnsweredI have the following problem, it is a reproducible error:
I have several Bluesound speakers (see setup below).
If I operate my Pulse+ soundbar alone (or combined with the Sub+), everything is OK. Everything is also OK if I pair the soundbar with two Flex2i to a fixed home theater group and operate this home theater group autonomously, i.e. not paired in a group with other Bluesound speakers.
If the home theater group is a member of another (non-fixed) speaker group, however, operation via API (e.g. http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:11000/Play) or local operation of e.g. 'Play/Pause button' on one of the two Flex2i is extremely slow/delayed (20 - 50 seconds)! The whole group then no longer pauses or plays the music immediately, but only after a delay of 20-50 seconds. This only happens if the API instruction is sent to the IP of the soundbar (= master of the home cinema group) or if the operation is carried out on the Flex2i or the soundbar itself. In addition, the synchronization of the soundbar is then usually a few milliseconds out of sync after replay (audible music delay on the home cinema group). After a few seconds, however, the synchronization is OK again. It looks as if the soundbar in the home cinema setup is somehow overloaded and responds to commands with a delay and is no longer able to synchronize at first. The operation of other players in the group works as usual without delay, and if the API instruction is sent to other players (group master or other group members), the group also responds without delay.
If I delete the fixed home cinema group again, the soundbar responds normally again and without any delay, both autonomously and as a member of another group, as expected and as all other players in the group react. The problems only arise when the soundbar is configured as a fixed home cinema group. This can be reproduced as often as you like. Even a factory reset of the soundbar, the subwoofer and the two Flex2i does not help. The problem occurs again immediately and can be reproduced as soon as the soundbar is linked to 2x Flex2i as a fixed home cinema group...
I think this is a bug in the soundbar's firmware, or (hopefully not!) due to a weak CPU in the Pulse Soundbar+.
My setup:
- Soundbar+ with Sub+ and 2x Pulse Flex2i as a fixed home cinema group
- Pulse 2 Mini and Flex2i as a fixed multispeaker group
- 4 additional Flex2i as individual speakers
With the exception of one Flex speaker that is connected to the WLAN, ALL other speakers (including soundbar, sub, flex) are permanently wired to a Unifi switch via Ethernet cable (star distribution, i.e. the ideal case). The RSTP protocol is activated on the switch. Everything works perfectly (with the exception of the problem mentioned above).

HI Boobele
Please recreate the Home Theatre Group then select Settings, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so our Support Crew may review all the log files of your Players to help troubleshoot 1:1.

Hi Tony,
Done :)
But I guess your Support Crew should be able the reproduce the issue in your Labs, when you use the same setup config als mine.
