Missing folder on Vault 2i ?
AnsweredI ripped a CD, did a re-index, and it shows up on the app as 'new'. It also shows up under the artist (Nic Jones) and under the album (From The Devil To A Stranger). It also plays, so it's obviously in the system. However, I wanted to add the artwork to the folder, but when I open the server and go to the Nic Jones folder, the album is not there! All his other albums are there. Where else can it be? I'm puzzled :-(

There isn't a Compilations folder. Based on that suggestion, I looked in Various Artists but it isn't in there ...

I'm using my Mac to connect. I go:
Network > Vault > Shared > Music >
and then have looked in Nic Jones and Various Artists
Not sure what you mean by 'the in built search' -- sorry.

It finds the folder on my Mac (in the Music folder) but not on the Vault. Would re-booting the Vault have any effect, do you think? I could try a 'hard' re-index via Diagnostics but that took a very long time last time I did it !

OK, will do. Thanks for your time.

I've just found another piece of information and I'm not sure of its relevance. The 'missing' album is one which went into the Vault as "Unknown -- ripped date/time" and I added the track titles, etc using Mp3tag. Having checked another one which was also ripped and I entered as Various Artists (since it was a collection), that too will play but isn't in the folder Various Artists.
Are you familiar with Mp3tag? I seem to remember it was a BluOS suggestion for processing a whole ripped album at a time.

No problem. As you suggested, I sent a Support Request, I'll wait to see what that turns up.
