Linear power supply for Node?

Hi all. I've been reading various reviews recently about upgrading a Node by adding a linear power supply. I noticed a significant improvement in sound quality when I added an external, linear supply to my analogue headphone amp, but I use external DACs/amplification with my Nodes, so my instinct (based on a high degree of ignorance) tells me there wouldn't be a similar improvement. What do others think?

  Bluesound and its parent company has designed your PSU with over 50 years of experience in the industry.

  Under no circumstances do we recommend making adjustments in this area.

  Doing so will void all warranties including lifetime software support of your player.
