Amps with the Bluos Module as a front player source in home theater
AnsweredIs there any possibility to expand the number of players that support Home Theater functionality? The app only allows the soundbar or a powernode as front sound, but I don't know why I can't use my NAD amplifier with the corresponding built-in BluOS module connected with eArc to the TV, (not being an expert, it seems essentially the same to me)

Hi Jordi
DOLBY decode is a partial hardware requirement. Your NAD 2 channel Amplifier does not include this hardware component and will only perform a 2 channel mix.

So, it’s NAD fault ;-). A great mistake in mi opinion. For the price of the module it’s reasonable that this feature was included. Disappointed, home theater was one of the reason why I choose this ecosystem.
Thanks for the quick answer!0 -
Our good friends down the hall would counter, though they make great 2-channel products, they do not nearly do as good a job as their T-Series does for home theatres. Yet their T-Series products do as wonderful a job at producing 2-channel audio as the rest of the NAD Electronics lineup.

...and yes BluOS comes in all their T-Series models.
