Bug: switching to external source does not reset progress bar

    This is not a bug. When you switch the source from streaming to an external source, the audio buffer is flushed to accommodate this. There is no mechanism to restart the song mid-track. Doing so can also damage speakers in some cases.

    So it makes no sense to keep the progress bar position when switching to an external source (or radio station), instead the progress bar should reset.

     

    I totally agree, it makes no sense at all. The progress bar shouldn't even be there when switching to an external source.

    Sorry to say that, but you are wrong: if I reposition the play position while playing a track, the system is able to restart the song mid-track or at any position where I point my finger to. Please confirm: is there a risk that this action is risky and can cause damage?

    Anyway, I don't want to restart the track when switching between library tracks and external sources, and I support what Bjørn wrote: the progress bar shouldn't even be there when switching to an external source.
