Confused about digital output resolution.
What is the resolution output of the digital coax from a Node x anniversary edition when the input from e.g. Qobuz at 24 / 192?
With the Wiim streamers, there is a setting to choose the output resolution. I couldn't find this setting on the Bluesound app.
I saw a post on a forum saying that 24 / 192 output on the node was only available in the proprietary MQA format, and that otherwise it outputs to CD quality. My DAC does support 24 / 192, but not MQA.
Many thanks for clearing this up.

Bluesound hardware is upto 24/192 on the digital outputs. The resolution is dependent on the streaming source and there is no output bit / depth setting as they don’t up or down sample. Some streaming services let you choose and this is done when you add the login credentials (Tidal / Qobuz)
MQA is again also upto 24/192 but most tracks are a lot lower than this and unfold to higher resolution but if your DAC does not support MQA don’t worry and just ensure you have not enabled MQA external DAC.
Just to confirm that 24/192 is not dependent on MQA.
