Sending metadata to BluOS device through API

I'm working on integrating BluOS onto an open source music control platform, which has been a breeze with your open documentation. It allows me to stream my locally hosted files easily to my bluOS devices. However one of the downsides of the documentation is that it does not talk about sending along metadata. Could this be explained or added to the API? it would make custom streaming components way easier, and could give longevity to the products! I believe this would be a difficult addition as other radio channels already do this... Kind regards, Diede
