Again: Apple Music - Hi-Res Lossless
AnsweredHello Bluesound, you are now launching a really very interesting product, the NODE ICON. But what is still missing: Native support for Apple Music in Hi-Res. How can it be that this feature is being ignored like this? I'm literally being forced to do without your products and look elsewhere. And looking around the forum, I'm not alone in this opinion. So what is the reason for doing without a potential customer base? I really can't understand it! Or is the support coming soon? An honest answer would be nice. I'm planning to change my entire system and would like to know whether Bluesound and NAD are out for me.

Hi All
The Apple MusicKit is more about pulling music into the background of your App such as Instagram adding music or music information to your app and is not suitable for this use.

There are plenty of threads on here regarding Apple Music and the reasons why, Bluesound would love to implement Apple Music natively but Apple dictates that Airplay is the transport method available and suggest you make your decision based on that.
There are plenty of other music streaming services available many of which provide CD or better quality unlike Apple’s offer with Airplay.

What kind of answer is that? There are certainly ways to implement Apple Music natively in Hi-Res (API, app, ...), others can do it too. Is there an official explanation from Bluesound as to why they are deciding against it or that Apple is prohibiting or preventing it? If I'm already paying for Apple Hi-Res, I want to use it with a streamer and not subscribe to other services. The German distributor has advised me to post this here in the forum so that more voices demand the feature and it is finally implemented. What else can or should I do?

Another Bluesound user here.
I don't know of any other streamer that has implemented Apple Music. EverSolo has a streamer running a version of Android that allows installation of the AppleMusic App so it is run through the App on essentially a computer running Android.
Are you aware of other streamers that permit Apple Music? My understanding is that Sonos and Apple have a special arrangement. All other streamers would love to include Apple Music but are not permitted at this point by Apple.

Hi, here some examples for native Apple Music Support in Hi-Res:
- Hifi Rose Streamer (ok, a little more expensive than the ICON)
- Sonos
- Fiio R7 (Andriod App)
- Eversolo DMP-A6 and A8 (Android App)
But why Bluesound don't use the Apple Music API or MusicKit to implement it as a Web-Sevice in BluOS or find a other way?

That API is not what you think it is.
Apart from Sonos which was mentioned previously which of those payers is multi-room and not using the Apple Music App running on an Android device?
