Hi Pete best to log a support ticket otherwise we will be going round the houses.

Connect the optical lead with the TV on and select the optical input in the App, then in the BluOS App please select Settings, Send Support Request, so the Bluesound Support Crew can review the log file and take a closer look.

Just a bit of background… LG is short for Lucky Goldstar or commonly know as Goldstar in the UK.

Do look at the TV’s menus to see if you have to enable the optical / digital output.

Also look at the sound out format. PCM may be your best option. I have an LG OLED but am using HDMI eARC out.

Thanks both. I have selected optical out in the settings sound menu and the sound format is set to PCM. Can I connect via hdmi eARC? Is there an input on the node 2 for this ?
    Thanks again for your help

    No HDMI on Node 2.

    Possible bad optical cable?

    Bit of an update.

I ran the cable from my cd player to the node.

    Worked fine.

So the issue is either a setting on the tv that I'm missing ( don't think it's this as I have followed the instructions to the letter),  a faulty output on the telly ( unlikely I feel, as the lg tv has good build quality) or some sort of compatibility issue. If it is compatibility, then it could come from node or tv I guess.

I am truly flummoxed. I have put a ticket in with Bluesound. They have just come back with articles at the moment.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
