Library on external ssd (MAC)

Hi, I do have an external ssd drive attached to my Mac mini inside Satechi Hub that is powered my my Mac. Every time I restart the computer with blue sound app it can't find the library and I need to add again a network share and reindex. Is it because the music is stored on a drive that is external to Mac?

  You could try reserving an IP address on your Router for your Mac Mini (good idea to do this to any BluOS devices you have). Once assigned add the network share but use the IP address in the path as this then won’t change.

  I agree with Seppi that the issue is likely related to a change in the IP address of the Mac Mini that occurs when it reboots. The router assigns IP addresses to network devices, unless an address is reserved for a device (tablet, TV, computer, wireless speaker) the address can be reassigned as devices appear and disappear from the router. Assigning a fixed address to a network device makes sure the router keeps the same address between reboots and even router restarts. The router manual should explain how this is done, each brand has a slightly different route to the controls that assing IP addresses.
