problem remote service when connected through wifi
AnsweredHello, I have a customer who has a home network with wifi repeaters (old house). When I connect his Pulse via WiFi, it shows up on the app and it plays the music on the local share. However, the moment I go to the internet (TuneIn, Qobuz, update check...) it stalls and gives me a remote access error. I've tried with a new one from my shop with the same result.
However, when I plug in a cable from the Pulse to the WiFi repeater everything works fine although the repeaters connect to one another by the same WiFi...
Any suggestions on what may be causing this ? Certain ports that are/aren't open ?

I use TP-Link repeaters without issues.
You need to configure the repeater(s): set gateway address ( usually 192.168.1.1), set primary DNS ( 1.1.1.1 or other), set fixed ip address (same as in router, best also reserved), set DHCP server=OFF (important to avoid conflict)
This should get you started. I also configured my repeaters to reboot every day at 03.00 am.
Have a look in the manual of your brand of repeater.
