Any idea why the Access Local Network screen keeps appearing even though the 2i is connected and playing well.

  Hi Robert

  Please check your iPhone Settings to ensure the BluOS App is allowing local network access. This may have been changed since your last iOS Update. Please see this Help Centre Article for more details.
