Node x USB
AnsweredMy TV is connected using HDMI and tv volume control works when using coax and toslink out to the DAC. When using USB to the dac the tv volume control doesn’t work. Why is this?

When using the USB to control your DAC, the NODE is fixed audio at 100% percent volume so cannot be adjusted by the NODE, only by the DAC or downstream amplifier. The CSC commands from your TV being sent via HDMI to the NODE are not relayed or ignored because you are using USB. This isn't by design so much but is how CSC works and USB output to DACs work and these two independent standards work without knowledge of the other. Your solution is is to use COAX to your DAC to allow the NODE to control volume or not use the NODE when using your TV and bypass it using another connection form.
