USB digital output volume setting (variable only, can't be fixed)
AnsweredWhere did the Fixed Volume function on the USB digital output go? The option to fix the volume still appears on the S/PDIF RCA output.
When the USB output was first implemented, it only had a fixed volume, but when did it change to only variable volume? I wish it was at least selectable.

Seppi-san,
I, too, have always believed that the USB output is fixed. That's why I posted it here.
Can you take a look at the attached image and check it out?

I've checked it with two other USB DDCs I have. Something very strange is happening. This USB DDC can't be fixed Digital Output volume, too. This is the same as the case of the MUTEC MC-3+USB.(JAVS X-DDC)0

This USB DDC works as expected.
What is the difference between them?
I would like to add that the MUTEC MC-3 + USB was also working correctly. I haven't been able to figure out which version upgrade caused the mistake.(UDA DDC)0 -
Seppi-san,This strange situation is not caused by the user's setup. Because I can actually adjust the volume with Volume Slider, and if it is according to the specifications of BluOS/Node, this should never happen.
It's a guess, but in the process of Node recognizing the USB device, it appears to accidentally turn off
the Fixed Volume setting internally.Do you have any suggestions?

I am having same issue since last update. Node N130 usb digital out to dac in Deqx HP5. Contacted bluos support who recommended reboot, and if that didn't work, then to wait for next update. Annoying in the mean time. Even a slight reduction down from max vol and loose bass weight on system.

Same here. Node N132 going to Chord Qutest DAC via USB. No way to set volume to FIXED. Volume slider works, but it does nothing, volume is effectively fixed w/o showing so. Confusing.
