Connecting Topping E50 issue

I have connected my Node via USB to a Topping E50. Works great, very pleased. But I notice that the analog outputs are no longer working. Is this by design? And is there some way to have both USB and analog working - not at the same time, but switchable through the "select output" option on my Apple IPad interface. Currently I can only reactivate the analog outputs by physically pulling the USB-to-E50 connection. This is impractical since it means reaching behind the stereo cabinet. So my question is: Can I switch between USB and analog outputs with the Ipad "Select Output " button and if not, why not?

  Thank you, I seem to be able to switch between internal dac and USB out now. Curious, the iPad app didn't allow for this but after downloading the app to my Samsung phone I can.
