Node X Trigger
AnsweredHi
I recently bought the Node X and I would like to make a suggestion that I believe will improve the functionality. The 12V trigger doesn't work as I expected which is a shame. I expected that when I set the Node Sleep function it would turn the trigger off once the Sleep timed out, but that doesn't happen. I regularly go to sleep with music playing so I set the Node to Sleep 45min but of course only the music stops, my amps and crossover have to be turned of using the remote which is challenging to do when your asleep :)
I implemented exactly the same function in a Twisted Pear DAC I built 10 years ago so I know it's no hard to do.

I don't know about the NodeX but on my Node2 the trigger works very well.
It triggers my amplifier and this one triggers my sub.
When the music stops, the whole chain shuts down after the required time-out of about 10'.
Could there be a setting on the amp that prevents the shutdown by trigger?

THANK YOU, I didn't know that, I was too impatient . I downloaded the Manual but it has virtually nothing in it re how the triggers works.
Thanks again

Hi David
Double check your trigger cable and ensure it is a mono 3.5mm cable (one black band, not two or three). If problems persist, please e-mail support@bluesound.com or select Settings, Send Support Request in the App.

It's working fine, Alain solved the issue for me.
I would still like to recommend that you implement the turn off the Trigger when the Sleep Function times out as I cant see the point in waiting 10-15min for the Trigger to turn off after the Sleep Function turns the music off, I feel sure it's just a fairly simple software change.
