Router connection question

My Router is upstairs and my entertainment system is downstairs. Is there anyway I can use my Vault2i? Can I just do setup in direct connection and access the CD’s I’ve ripped offline? Can Bluetooth connect to my Stereo downstairs while leaving the vault upstairs connected by hardwire? Can I, after set up, connect the vault to my router just through Wi-Fi? I didn’t realize that I needed a hardwired connection as the product said it was Bluetooth and Wi-Fi compatible

  Hi Robert, the VAULT needs a hardwired Ethernet connection back to your router, there is no Wi-F hardware inside.

  Bluesound can operate without an Internet connection but to control devices you need a local network, Ethernet for the VAULT and Wi-Fi for phones / tablets.

  You can send audio from Bluesound devices to BT enabled devices, BT is however short range and also much lower quality than you can get from the digital or analogue outputs.

  There are devices such as Powerline which plug in and provide an Ethernet connection in different parts of your house. They can either be the saviour or the root of all problems.

  Some mesh Wi-Fi systems also have Ethernet ports on the satellites, again you could plug the VAULT into one of these.
