Bluos 4.0 constantly losing wired connection after some period of time
AnsweredHi,
I've got an annoying problem with Bluos 4.0 in combi with my Powernode (N330). The Powernode is wired through an ethernet cable to my modem. When playing an hour or so, and you want to switch to another album or digital radio station or whatever, Bluos 4.0 does not respond to anything. Also volume etc doesnt work anymore. Finally the message is "Content could not be retrieved" (translated from Dutch). Hitting "Try again" doesnt help. After closing the app and re-opening it says: "Searching for players" and finally "Player not found". Then you have to power off the Powernode and after a while (I got the impression that it has to be far more than 30 sec's) you can power it on and then it works again. For an hour or so!!!! Most annoying, not to say: terrible. Also in older versions of Bluos this was sometimes the case, but now it is constantly it drives you mad. Hopefully there's a solution to this very inconvinient problem. Thanx!

Hi Seppi, Correct, when the problem occurs the light is still blue indeed. I did as you suggested, but unfortunately no effect. After Powerering off the Powernode and rebooting the modem I switched on the Powernode. Played some music for 50 min's or so, then tried another album, and I couldn't. Connection was lost, and again the message message is "Content could not be retrieved". Other ideas maybe? Thanx!

OK, thanx Seppi, I will send a support request. I doubt whether installing on another device will make a difference. I have an Android while my wife has an iPhone, but she encounters the same problem. We'll see. Thanx again!

Ooooooooh, me stupid. While investiging cables etc for Blusound Support, I saw that the ethernet cable from my Powernode was NOT in the modem/router anymore. A month ago we had all our window frames replaced and therefore I'd disconnected all the cables to make space for the workers. And after that I reconnected all the cables (at least I thought so ;-), but I'm puzzled why I did not reconnect the one and only ethernet cable for the Powernode to the modem. I tested and it looks like the problem is solved now! But however I find it still strange that it constantly lost connection in a wireless setup (so Powernode was connected wireless to the router and that caused the problem). Bluesound is investigating the 'wireless' problem further, but I'm glad it works again now.
