Combining inputs from powernode and Flex
AnsweredHi, Anyone having experience with combining powernode 2 with a pulse flex, both with external devices connected to it?
I have a powernode 2 in my living room and would like to purchase a flex 2i for the dining room as a multiroom setup where both devises have an external input connected to it.
My tv is connected to the optical in of the powernode with 2 wired speakers and a wired subwoofer.
For the Flex, I would like to connect a record player to it (with a separate phono preamp), since I don't have the space to put the record player near the powernode and tv.
Is it possible to play tv on both devices (powernode is then primary player) and also play the record player on both devices (Flex would then be the primary player). If yes, does it mean I will have to change groups every time or does this go automatically once you configurated the groups?
Best regards, Dimitri.

HI Dimitri
Your diagnosis is bang on. You will have to break the group and recreate it swapping out one Primary for the other...

If you haven't bought that Phone Pre-amp yet, may I suggest the Bluesound HUB. Among it's many uses, it is a moving magnet phono pre-amp and will allow you to select the turntable as a source without having to break and recreate the group.

Hi Tony,
thx for the fast reaction.
I did consider the hub but then I would not have the extra speaker or have to buy the hub and a flex which is in my opinion quite expensive just to have an extra speaker and input.Do I understand well that the 2 groups cannot exist next to eachother or would I just have to select the other group when wanting to change the primary? That would be an acceptable solution to me.
