I have been using the FOLDERS option to organize my library and have been connecting to my Vault via my Mac to make folders and organize my library (CLASSICAL/COMPOSER/COMPOSITION).
This has been going relatively smoothly for ripping and cataloging over 8000 "songs" for a month now. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, my Mac can no longer connect to the vault as a shared drive. When I select "Go" and "browse" for drives the Mac can find the Vault's name and even the "shared" folder, but when I click on "shared", I get "An unexpected error occurred (error code 0)". If I try to connect via the Vault's cifs//: address, nothing happens and I have to restart the Finder to clear the window.
The BluOS controller on my iPad works fine for playing back what I have already done; I just can't access and organize the drive any more.
Things I have done so far:
I have gone through several posts on the help web site, to no avail.
I have investigated Mac "Error Code 0", which seems to be related to moving large files on FAT32 drives and doesn't seem to make sense here.
I have rebuilt the index.
I have turned off ALL wireless devices included the router (Airport Time Machine) and the vault for several minutes and then restarted—twice.
I have done a factory reset of the Vault.
I have tried this both on my iMac using Sierra 10.12.1 and my Air laptop using Yosemite 10.10.5.
So now I'm stumped (and frustrated, because I suspect this is something simple that I am overlooking). Please help.
