TuneIn Interruptions (for ads)
AnsweredHi,
I regularly find topics about music from radio stations via TuneIn interrupt. This is usually followed by an add. Then the music resumes.
I have experienced this for year(s) and eventually went back to DAB or Roon for radio.
The exact same radio stations via Roon on the same streamer (Node 2i) is flawless without any interruption.
Being bored today, I did another search and found again many people complaining about it. But then I found other posts on many sites stating that since a couple of years TuneIn introduced a new policy for adds. They now inject adds at the beginning of the stream but also later on.
Could that explain my issues with TuneIn? Does it work as designed?
Does TuneIn pause the radio stream to push adds?
Interested to hear your thoughts!

It seems to be general behavior by TuneIn regardless which subscription is used: regular interuptions, sometimes with adds, sometimes without adds, sometimes music resumes, sometimes not ...
Apparently this started when TuneIn introduced adds.
