Bluesound Vault 2i ist Not working constant Red light
AnsweredA Firmware Update seem not to have been successfull. Red light is on, I can't connect via App since Player ist not found. Resetting does not work, tried it several times! It always goes back into red light mode. Nothing works.

I have the same problem with my vault 2i.
It shows a static red light, I can't see it in BluOS, tried several factory resets... I tried wired internet connection. Still not working...
I saw there's a way to perform a firmware upgrade with a USB stick, but I can't find the firmware. And yes, I did my research, you can't download them anymore because of security reasons...
Why does all these products have the same problem and I can't find a solution?
Can you please send me the solution? I have enough knowledge to solve the problem if you give me the tools, firmware file and instruction on how to perform the firmware upgrade.
I had the same problem with my node 2i, but after a factory reset It started to work again...

Hi all,
my device could not been resetted. Problem was the Power Supply Board of the Vault 2i which haf been replaced by Bluesound. This defect seems to be pretty common among various Bluesound devices due maybe to some faulty or not suitable capacitors and inefficiant cooling.0 -

Thanks for letting me know.
But It's been installed in 2020 and I never used it, I know It's a pitty... The person that came to install everything couldn't manage to install the vault, and then came covid, he couldn't come to me, then I forgot about it...
And now I want to install it myself and I had this problem. So if it's the power supply board, then the problem was there from the beginning.
So you needed to send it to bluesound? They didn't offer you a solutions to try it with the manual USB option to perform a firmware upgrade? I' ve read that if a bluesound device hasn't been updated for a while, it goes in upgrade mode and this gives the static red light.
I'm curious what Bluesound is gonna say about the problem...

They tried it via online Support First and we're Not successful so I brought iT to my dealer who also couldn't reset it not to mention an update and so the Vault had to be shipped to Denmark (HiFi Klubben) for repair. Guarantee is still valid (5 years at HiFi Klubben), so No Problem at all.

Guarantee of 5 years only If you've bought it at the HiFi Klubben Dealer with membership for HiFi Klubben Club which comes automatically when buying there.

In the Benelux Region, please reach out to your original Dealer. All Bluesound Dealers in Belgium are also Authorised Bluesound Service Centres. You are in good hands with them and they will take care of you. Please note however warranties do vary compared to regions so you may be under slightly different terms.

I went to my dealer, but he told me I need to bring in my node and my vault in and he need to send them to your service center.
I searched on the internet for a possible solution, my dealer told me that a factory restore is too risky and too complicated. So I searched for a solution myself and I found this support forum, I did a factory reset on my node 2i and the device started to work again, because I could fix my node, I wanted to try the same for my vault.
I think the guarantee is over because It's now 4 years ago, so first I want to try what I can and If I can't find a solution, I will send it.
