Powernode2 no longer connects to wifi
AnsweredMy powernode2 no longer connects to wifi network.
Plugged the power (just like I did before) and now instead of auto reconnect it no longer wants to connect to the very same network it was running on before.
Tried to update the iPhone app, factory reset the module and to use various ways to connect. Every time I hit the same pattern: solid green light -> blinking green -> solid purple -> solid green again under a single try of connecting to wifi.
The module is about a year old what else can I try?

Rebooting the router usually helps. (cut power to powernode and router, restart router and wait 5', restart powernode and other Bluesound devices)
If not, try connecting the powernode directly to the router using an ethernet cable and check the settings.
If all fails, requesting a support ticket through the app will send a log to the wizz kids @bluesound.

I set it up with ethernet cable (Like I tried it before with no luck), but I left it on for the night with the cable connected. Pulled it out (because storms are flying around these days), went to green blinking mode and now its connected... don't know what might have changed... it is sad I need to pull it out again now that it works. I'll give an update how it turns out.
I usually put it into vacation mode before cutting the power. I don't know if that's a good practice.0 -
It did reconnect automatically this time.
I don't know why or what happened when it was connected overnight that it works... just took 1.5-2 days rest...0 -
Putting your powernode in vacation mode or cutting the power every day is not recommended by Bluesound.
This will put extra strain on your device and may in the long term damage some components.
It's not really needed as the device goes to powersaving mode after 15' of inactivity.
