    Another M33 owner here. The M33 is a networked device, wired or wireless, so security is managed by the router settings. As long as the network is secured the M33 shouldn't be accessible to anyone without network access. Many routers ship with default settings for username and password, these should be changed to prevent malicious actors from gaining easy access.

    Much has been written about adequate password strength but lengthy passwords are more difficult to crack than short ones. To ease the burden on my memory I use song lyrics or lines from poems I remember so my passwords are often 20+ characters long.
