Players out of sync
AnsweredI have a nad c658 and node grouped. The node is connected to a soundbar via optical. The node and soundbar are delayed though. Is there any way to add a delay to the nad system manually? Lip sync settings are only for physical inputs and can not be applied to the blueos source. Please help!!! Thanks

Hi Danny
Your soundbar is adding delay as it is performing some sort of digital signal processing. This cannot be altered. Just to confirm this is a 3rd party soundbar and not a Bluesound PULSE SOUNDBAR. The reason I ask if it was a PULSE SOUNDBAR I am unsure why you would not just group the SOUNDBAR directly.
Another option you can try to overcome this is to have the NODE perform the DSP and connect it to your 3rd party soundbar using an analog connection if that is available.

Yes I understand that. But external devices can introduce their own delay. Roon and chrome cast has the ability to manually adjust delays per group member. Surely there is a way with bluos too?

Go in Setup in BluOS app, select Player and Change Sources. From there select the appropriate source and set the lip sync time via the slider until the sources sync up.

Unfortunately that isn’t available for the BluOS source. Need to add delay to the nad for when streaming music to the group

Yes it is a third party soundbar (Sennheiser Ambeo). I would need to add delay to the nad side. This is possible with most streamers (WiiM chromecast and roon endpoints) surprised that nad blueos is missing manual delay compensation for streaming sources. Will have to return it I guess :(

Unfortunately this won’t work because I’d like to keep it digital and use the ambeos room correction
