User experience for classical music collections
AnsweredI like the system for its stability. But as someone who listens to classical music, the user experience with bluesound is incomplete. Many of the points I am about to list have already been mentioned by other users, but nothing has improved for years and one wonders whether the target group of classical music is not relevant. I would have the following wishes / suggestions:
- Please show the composer as a separate field, both in the album view and in the now playing view. That would be the least that would be necessary and should actually be technically possible. At the moment I have added the composer to the title using a script, but this is a very confusing solution, which brings me to the next point.
- Classical music can have longer titles, so it would be nice to be able to open an additional window that shows you the complete metadata. This is always the case in Qobuz.
- In Qobuz there is already a grouping of the individual compositions. Please make this possible for the own music collection too.
- Please make it possible to download the booklet from Qobuz. This is already possible in other apps that use the Qobuz API (e.g. Bubble Upnp).
- Please create the possibility to add a composition to the queue with one click in Qobuz.
- Please create the possibility to tag multiple artists as multivalue field (as already requested for years by other users).
If at least the first two suggestions are not implemented, I think Android users should be given the opportunity to solve this in another way (not everyone wants to invest in Roon). In addition to the Chromecast integration that has already been discussed many times, one possibility would be to integrate an OpenHome or UpnP renderer (despite possible restrictions in Multiroom). I hope that there will soon be improvements for classical music listeners. It would also be nice to know whether bluesound has an interest in this or whether it is not a priority.

I would second this request. Finding and selecting classical pieces is VERY hard on Bluesound apps as the display fields are all too small and don't allow you to see the:
1) Composer
2) Piece
3) Movement
4)Key(s)
5) generally recognized score Numbering system
I can do all of this in the Qobuz app easily, why not in Bluesound?
