Volume limits in audio settings issue

    Hi Richard - for your setup, I would recommend disabling volume limits and reset them to the defaults then used FIXED output to let the amplifier control the volume.

    Thanks. That’s what I’m doing now anyway. However I’m still curious about the original question. I’m one of those people who needs to know the “why’s” of things. Not just the solution.
    But I do appreciate your suggestion.

    It’s not that I play loud. In fact due to a hearing issue with my left ear I CAN’T play much louder than 70db.
    The why is I dislike when manufacturers decide something for the consumer but neglect to explain the finer details. I guess they figure we are all at the level of the lowest common denominator. I prefer to be treated like a knowledgeable adult.
    All I want to know is why it’s limited to -30db. Why not just make the slider end there then.
