    Hi SimonB,

I got search results in alphabetic order from my Vault 2, and "The Stone Roses" was included in the list when I tapped on "View All". (Could this be an indexing or metadata issue?)

Having said that, when I went back and repeated the search to check that the results came back in alphabetic order, the "View All" button no longer responded and I could only see the first few entries of the search results. It was unresponsive whether or not the Play Queue was displayed.

When the button was re-purposed as "Clear" to empty the list of recent search criteria, it still remained unresponsive. This issue occurs very frequently. :(

    Thanks, Ian and Simon

Our QA Team is reporting similar findings as Ian and have passed it along to our Product Development Team for review.

    Hi Tony

    Many thanks.

While they have the hood up, please can they also return track length to the "string search" Search Results listing? It's there in Windows and Android but missing on iPhone and iPad.

I performed a string search in the library for "Once Bitten", and I got two artists returned - Great White and Ian Hunter, which is correct.

I got "Not Found" in Albums, which is correct.

I got an initial list of five songs, including three "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Ian Hunter, one "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Great White, and "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" by Ian Hunter. Information displayed was album sleeve, Track Title, Track Artist, "CD" in a square, and the three vertical dots.

Using "View All" (it worked this time) I got one more search result - a final "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" by Ian Hunter. The information displayed was the same.

If, instead, I selected "Ian Hunter" from the Artists search results, I then additionally got to see track length to the left of "CD" in a square in the search results track listing.

When I select that specific track by Ian Hunter, I always want to know which entries are the album version and which entries are the single version, and this is shown by track length, which I can only get by selecting the artist and then trawling through every track of theirs on the Vault to find my desired track.

In this case, it's the only Ian Hunter track that I have. :)

If, instead, I look for "Love To Love You Baby" by Donna Summer, wanting the 5 minute-long UK single version, a string search for the title eventually returns 12 track results all without track length, while an Artist search returns over 90 results in the track listing with track lengths from within which I then have to locate my desired entries.

Annoying given that for some artists I have many hundreds of tracks.

    HI Ian

to continue on your Hood-up analogy, replacing a spark plug versus an engine rebuild are two different things. I agree versions of songs can be tough (I have over 25 different E-Street Band live recordings in my collection...). I rely on favourites to help me through my E-Street Shuffle.

Understood, but the track lengths were there prior to iOS V4, are still there in the V3 UI that comes with iOS V4, are still there in artist search results, and are still there at all times in both Android and Windows.

I'd like to send an email about this. What email address should I use to reach you?
