Bluesound NODE eARC and volume indicator on LG TV

I am thinking whether it is worth upgrading to NODE (3rd gen.) from NODE 2i for eARC support.

Specifically, I'd like for the current level displayed on my LG C2 when adjusting the volume. I currently use the optical out with NODE 2i and only see the - and + flashing when pressing the volume buttons.

Would switching to eARC and NODE improve this?

  No, the - and + is LG's way of showing external volume. Only way to see numbers 1-99 is by using LG's internal speakers.
