Prioritizing TV Speakers Over HDMI ARC Stereo?

I have connected my Samsung Q70R to the Bluesound NODE via HDMI ARC to output TV sound through the stereo system connected to the NODE when needed. Every time I turn on the TV, it wants to output the sound via HDMI ARC. Since the NODE can't really be turned off, it is always detected by the TV. Most of the time, however, I want to use the built-in speakers of the TV, not the stereo system. I then have to manually switch to the built-in speakers in the Samsung settings. Is there a way to reverse this? To default to outputting through the built-in speakers and explicitly select the HDMI stereo system?

  There is an auto sense toggle in the BluOS app, turn it off and it won’t switch automatically.
