Attach non-wifi subwoofer to Node X

I have a Velodyne subwoofer (non-network sub) and would like to connect it to a Node-X. On the iPhone app it seems I can only use a Bluesound networked sub. I have the Velodyne connected into the sub out plug and there is no output to the sub. Is it possible to have this sub work with the Node-X?

  You can most certainly use a wired subwoofer with Bluesound, check your subwoofer manual for any settings / gain level that’s required and check you are using the sub out on the NODE and not the coaxial out.

  Edit you are using an external amplifier with other sources attached then it’s best practice to connect the Sub your amplifier, this way all music sources benefit fro the addition of a subwoofer.
