Alternative to TuneIn?
AnsweredOne of the non-features which deters me from committing to BluOS is the lack of an alternative radio service to TuneIn. The other radio services are all geolocked to the Americas. Why not provide something like Vtuner for the rest of the world? Or emulate Sonos with myTuner?

Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured I will forward them to our quality assurance and development team for future consideration.
Thanks for #LivingHiFi -
Seems that Vtuner have an extensive API service. https://www.vtuner.com/services.asp

Thanks for the 'official' reply.
I fear this is a 'kick the can down the road' type of response! and I suspect nothing will change for months or years, if ever. I'm not a developer but guess a few hours of dedicated effort could improve this omission rather quickly.

This one get's my vote!
TuneIn's new way of adding ads makes it ridiculous to use.We need an alternative. Or I guess we'll have to change HW :-(

Don't change to Sonos (latest app update has induced monumental chaos for last month for 1000s of users). Also the awful TuneIn ads are there too. Vtuner is ad free.

At least on Sonos you got alternatives to TuneIn ...
Starting to think I need to find a convenient way to just use Roon on all devices ...
I'm ok using an app to start a radio stream ... rest of the family just wants to hit a button on a remote ...

Well, Roon requires a hefty-ish PC to run the software. You might get away with a more recent Windows PC. The new low-cost Roon Nucleus is $450. It's one foot square (!). Then there's 150-180 yearly sub.
Yes, Sonos have effectively trashed their USP - best selection of streaming service options.
Simplest solution is probably a good quality bt speaker (they do exist) and just use the native apps on phone/tablet.
Good luck.
Ps;I use Lyrion Music Server (bit techy to set up but as good as Roon, and it's free)
