The spec sheet does say it has a 32/384 DAC but goes onto say it supports upto 24/192 file formats

It cannot use the additional bits / depths, these are used for overhead of digital volume control and tone control. It also helps with a faster bandwidth for decoding.

The software (BluOS controller) plays no part in the music reproduction as it’s merely a remote control.

Bluesound hardware supports 24/192, it is 32bit internally to allow for volume control in the digital domain it cannot support higher bit / depth rates than 24/192.

Some MQA tracks can however be of a much higher resolution but they only unfold so far.

Thank you for your response. I don't understand. The spec for the Node, which is Bluesound hardware,  says 32-bit/384khz. Its the software (BluOs Controller) on the desktop that is 24bit. Can and will this software be updated to 32bit to make it compatible with the node?
