Bluesound do have a balance control but this is for the devices with an amplifier built in such as the POWERNODE or POWERNODE EDGE. The NODE would connect to an amplifier and it’s the amp that would traditionally have a balance control.

If you altered the signal on a NODE this would also effect the digital output's, causing issues with DACs and MQA would not work at all.

Unfortunately there is no balance on the amplifier, and the PowerNode/Powernode Edge with integrated amplifiers are not capable of providing the required power output level for the speaker, I did check into that before going with a Node plus amplifier setup.

The speaker vendor strongly recommended using a Russound A2100 Half-Rack Digital 2-Channel Amplifier for this application, and it does not have balance control, hence feature request to vary the "line output" LEFT/RIGHT output, which as I understand it is a purely analog signal output which as we know already varies naturally from 0 to max...  Just need to lower one side to a much lower volume due to the type and placement of speakers.

I can imagine why it might not be desirable to alter the DIGITAL signal outputs, at least in terms of support calls, especially when customers do not understand what they've asked the device to do, and when it could be done later in in their equipment downstream.   For my use case, it is fine to leave DIGITAL outputs un-altered, maybe even desirable.
