Node X to Rotel DT6000 dac issues
AnsweredHello,
I got the Node X few days back & have connected it to the Rotel DT6000 Dac via usb.
The audio plays fine but for few tracks on Qobuz the Sample rate doesn't display on the Rotel DT6000. I have to pause the song playing & then resume for the sample rate to display on the Dac.
I had a Lumin U2 mini streamer for more than a year & never faced this issue. The Rotel DT6000 is on the latest firmware & so is the Node X.
Thanks.

According to the documentation of your third-party DAC, a Windows or macOS driver is required for USB output. This means your USB output is not asynchronous communication and not just a DAC but is simple SPDIF. You will have better performance using COAX.
That being said, your NODE X has an ESS SABRE high-quality DAC (why it is a step up from the NODE X). Try the analogue out and let your ears decide.

Hi Tony,
The Lumin U2 mini has zero issues with the DT6000, i wonder why? I guess the Node X usb compatibility is low with Dacs compare to the Lumin streamers, anyways will try a COAX connection soon.
Thanks.
