My Node2 seems to lose its connection with the Controller if no music has been playing for a while (around 30+ minutes or if the computer has gone to sleep). The problem manifests itself in a couple of different ways:
1: I press play and the song continues for about a minute, then stops. The Controller then tells me "PlayerName (offline)" and then the player disappears from the Controller completely. The light on the Node2 is still solid blue, so it should be online. In order to reconnect I have to remove the power cable or wait for 20-30 minutes. If I remove the power cable the player usually works fine, if I wait the same thing sometimes happens.
2: I press play and everything is fine. I then select another song or album from my library and the Controller tells me "PlayerName (offline)" and the player disappears from the controller. The light is still solid blue. The fix is the same as for scenario 1.
3: I have no songs in the cue and I have not used the Node2 for a while (20+ minutes) or the computer has been asleep. I select a song or an album from my library and the Controller tells me "PlayerName (offline)", while the light on the Node2 is solid blue. The player then disappears from the Controller. The fix is the same as for the other 2 scenarios.
When the player starts again I sometimes (about 1 in 5 times) get an error message saying that the file path does not exist (or something to that effect). I then select another song in the cue, get the same error message and repeat a couple of times before the song starts.
I have found that if I put the Node2 in vacation mode before I attempt to use it, the player usually works fine. It is NOT possible to put the Node2 in vacation mode if the Controller has told me the player is offline. Then I have to either wait or remove the power cable.
I use Windows 7, the newest version of the software and BluOS.
With the previous version of the software and BluOS I did not experience these issues, but that was only available for a couple of days. I have had similar issues with all the other versions of the software and BluOS though. Note that I have been in touch before and I have already done a factory reset. I have also had a look in the knowledge database to no avail.
