Sort order tags?

I see multiple request for this feature over multiple years. What is the current status / position on adding sort order tags? 

Just got my Node last weekend and I'm overall happy with it. Learning the quirks however has been painful. 

For instance one of the things that aggravated my efforts to figure the sort order tag issue out is that the settings/library/re-index does some sort of optimized reindex. Finally found the diagnostic / reindex button that clearly states it deletes the index and starts from scratch. Having this clearly explained up front would have saved me hours of time.

    Just adding my thumbs up for this in the hope that a reply will make it more visible to those in charge....

    It's quite possible that it's my comments you've seen asking for this. Would be a massive improvement.
