    If I understand you well, you have your library with flac files on a hdd or ssd or usb stick, connected over the usb port of the powernode.

    In that case I think your wifi will be used mainly for the commands sent by your app on your android, mac, iphone or other device. The transmission quality of hd tracks will not be dependent upon the strength of your wifi signal as they are locally connected.

    However, if you have a multiroom setup and the source is your powernode you will depend heavily upon the wifi to distribute the music to your other connected players, unless everything goes over cables.

    As Alain says… but must stress that control may be erratic as the BluOS App is a two way device with information going back and forth and the lag could cause issues particularly with volume control.

    Using the Bluesound RC1 with presets configured on the player would be a good solution.

    Seppi, today i haven't noticed any such problems. I have +/- signal -65 dBm
