No the Toslink adapter converts a standard optical lead to Mini TOSLINK.
The input is actually a dual Mini TOSLINK/3.5mm (analogue) so all you need is the correct line level lead.

Thank you, I still need a bit more help (if you can) . I ant to be able to play my guitar through the speakers that the Node is connected to. On my amplifier I have a line out or DI out (both standard Jack). I have a converter so at the node end the lead will present a male mini jack to the node. Could I plug this into the mini toslink adaptor is is there a converter that will enable me to plug my mini jack into the node? (and should I use DI or line lever when I connect).

Bluesound like other multiroom streaming systems has an inherent delay built in that cannot be disabled. This means if you play an instrument or use a PA mixer into the NODE there is a delay before you hear your music / voice.

would you know is there is any piece of kit available that would allow me to plug in the out on my amp and to connect to remote bluesound

For multiple Bluesound device you just connect to one Bluesound device and then group them, this way the same audio come out from all devices.

thank you, I hope you don't think this is a liberty but one more question if you wouldn't mind helping me. The speakers are Bluesound Pulse flex 2i and there are 6 od them spread around a restaurant. My amp doe not send wifi or blue tooth (I just have a jack out) do you know what I need to buy so that I can connect to one of the Pulse Flex2i (ther are already linked together). If you are in the UK I think I must owe you a beer for helping me
