I just check my iOS app and the levels of individual players volume control still works perfectly... so it's only effecting the macOS app. I have also done an uninstall and reinstall of the macOS app on my MacPro running macOS Monterey 12.7.3, but still no change in the group/volume controls.

I just remembered that I never updated my BluSound macOS controller app on my MacBook Pro.... so I have copied that over onto my MacPro and all is back working perfectly now again as it did before the update.

Please fix this issue as soon as possible so I can update again.

Same issue with the latest Windows controller app.

Cheers Mark T for your comments and insights... but I have already spoken with Vicky Z from Bluesound Support a week or more back plus again yesterday, and earlier today, and she's under the impression that this issue is actually a NEW FEATURE of the BluOS Controller Software.... which seems very strange to me, as the recently updated iOS app continues to perform perfectly with this level of volume control within a Group, compared the recently updated macOS version of app, which delivers this weird result.

It's all very confusing for me as a user... for now, I have reverted back to the BluOS Controller 4.2.0 app for macOS to continue the same level of volume control within a group that I have always experienced when using the BluOS Controller app for many years now... and I have the latest BluOS Controller iOS app, and that also still gives me the same individual player volume control within a Grouped Players scenario, that I have always experienced.

It would be great if I could have clarity on this issue, and ideally, if it could be fixed back to the way it used to work before in the BluOS Controller 4.2.0 app for macOS.

The individual player volume controls in the new 4.2.1 isn't really working for me.

    Kind regards,
    Anthony

Anthony; I have exactly the same issue in the Windows App Controller whereby adjusting the volume of one player affects the other.

Using my iPhone (IOS) this issue does not arise.

I have therefore rolled back my controller app for Windows to 4.2.0 and it works normally (as it should).

    Hi Dave...
Great to know that I wasn't imagining things... as one of the Bluesound Experts explained to me that this new behaviour was a "new feature" of the latest software update.

Hopefully they will fix soon, as I too have rolled back to the previous iterative release, but the constant reminder to update everytime I launch the app is well annoying at this stage.

    Hi Anthony,

Yes I think you mentioned Vicki saying it was a new feature. I've dealt with her on a past issue and she was excellent. Let's hope that was she says is not going to be a permanent feature.

And I agree about the constant reminders. Hopefully I won't click 'yes' by mistake!

I totally agree Dave... she was excellent with me also... even did a whole remote access session... and really knew her way around the software... but having an iOS app behave as before and always with individual group volume controls and having the macOS desktop app behave completely differently just didn't add up for me... it still doesn't...  they should be consistent if it was a new feature being implemented.

I just hope it's all a mixup and they revert to the ways things worked in 4.2.0.

BTW... greeting from Ireland Dave... :)

    Dear,

We're experiencing this issue on a customer-site ( 3 x CI580 + Windows BluOs controller ), but evenso on my test setup Bluesounf Flex +Bluesound professional BSP 500.

I cannot believe this is a feature as it is not consistent :
    > Changing group volume is OK; individual player react accordingly
    > Changing volume of a first player/group member is OK; it's own volume changes, and the group volume indicator follows.
    But
    > Changing the volume of a second player/group memeber is NOT OK; it's own volume changes, but also the volume of the other individual players/group members !

Thank you for diving into this issue, as it is quite annoying in a 12-zone shopping center.

    Best regards,

Hi Joris - your issue sounds a little different given you are mixing in Bluesound Professional - or using PULSE FLEXes in a tough commercial environment. Could be a number of issues here. I have escalated you to our Support Crew. They will be in touch via e-mail to gather more details here.
