where is my shuffle button?

I just downloaded the latest windows controller (4.2.1) and it appears the shuffle & repeat buttons only show when you start a playlist (maybe I just noticed this now and were these buttons already missing before). In the "now playing" screen for a TuneIn radiostation there are none of these buttons, meaning you cannot preselect the shuffle function before starting a playlist. You can only shuffle after having started the playlist, which is a sorry loss of function.

I prefer the buttons to be always visible, as it was in the previous, earlier versions.
