I need some help connecting my BS Node to my amp. I have a Holfi Integra 3.5.1 – an old Danish Brand – sounds so sweet with BS. The amp is analogue.
It has two different options connecting the Node to amp – either the CD-input or an Aux-input.
The CD-input has fixed 800 Ohms impedance, while the Aux-input has a 4,7 kOhm impedance.
That means the CD-input requires:
- The signal (the Node) must be able to deliver the sufficient signal current. Otherwise the sound reproduction becomes unengaged and weary.
- The signal (the Node) must be DC-coupled or AC-Coupled with a capacitor of at least 47 uF. Otherwise the signal level in the bass frequencies becomes too low.
Holfi recommends that I use the CD-input if at all possible because the sound quality will be a lot better and more detailed.
So my question is: Does the Node deliver sufficient power to be connected to the cd-input and is it DC-coupled or AC-coupled with the sufficient capacity?
I know that I have to listen to the music to decide, but I could be nice to know some details about the signal output on the Node and I have not been able to find the answer on the Internet.
I hope you guys can help me on this one.
