Cannot sign in to Sirius XM on BluOS app
AnsweredI listed to Sirius XM as a music service on my BlueSound Node 2i all the time. A few days ago it stopped connecting and I don't know why. So I went into the BluOS app and I'm trying to set up my account again. When I type in my email address and password for Sirius it WILL NOT TAKE my password. So I type in the email in the Username box and then type my password in the Password box. Then I try pressing the Blue Login button under the login and it does NOTHING. It will not accept what I'm keying in. Then after I press it about six or seven times it come back and says "authentication failed." This makes no sense at all. Any suggestions?

Hi Robert
It may be an expired certificate on your Player. Please select Settings, Diagnostics, Reboot then try logging in again. If problems persist, please send our Support Crew a log file by selecting Settings, Send Support Request. They will reach out via e-mail to take a closer look after reviewing the log.

Thanks for the response Tony. When I select Settings on my iPhone BluOS application, I do not see "Diagnostics." I see a choice for Player, but it does not have a Diagnostics menu choice anywhere that I can find.

When I try to sign into Sirius on BluOS, I get an invalid password error message. I know my password is correct. Not sure if this is a Sirius problem or a BluOS problem.

Hi Jeff, Bluesound don’t have any servers between you and the streaming service so this error is from Sirius. Sometimes logging out and in again in the BluOS App. An help by connecting you to another Sirius server. Probably they are very overloaded at this time of year so do try again in a little while.

Hi David - AWS has announce publically a general outage affecting many Internet sources in the past 24 hours. This may be related. I would contact Sirius XM.

A reboot of my N331 resolved the Sirius XM issue.

It still won't work. I have tried going back to the factory settings, resetting and rebooting. And it still won't accept my password.

Hi David, just another user here. Have you tried your credentials outside of BluOS to make sure it’s working, might also be worth checking with them to ensure your account is ok.

Yes I have. My Sirius app works with my password in all other devices and laptops. I've signed in and out to make sure

Power off your Bluesound device, reboot your Router and wait five minutes before powering on your Bluesound device again.
Hopefully this will help, if not in the BluOS app, please navigate to Settings and under Help & Support select “Send Support Request” this sends to logs to support who will then get in touch with you.

I did a factory reboot on my powernode and it solved the problem

I finally found out the issue after doing all of the above (reboot, deleting and reloading both apps, going back to default settings).
The issue: Sirius app and website login username accepts your email address. Where as BluOS app username field doesn't like email addresses.
So a friendly and helpful person at the Sirius call centre issued me a username. And that did the trick.
The Sirius app and website log in accepts both the username and email for logging in.
And everyone lived happily ever after....
