So I have two plex systems in my kitchen, one set to left channel and one for right. Sounds great!
BUT is there any way to sync the volume within the group without using the app? It's almost a deal breaker to have to have to adjust each manually or use the app. One speaker is higher up on a shelf and is not easily accessible. It seems like something that should configurable.
I'm coming from a squeezebox setup- the way that worked was there was a master that the other players synced to as you add them to a group (I assume just like Bluesound). If you adjusted the volume on the master, the other players' volumes would adjust accordingly. If you chose a slave it would only adjust that volume. Worked perfectly.
It defeats the purpose of the hardware buttons and the reason I put the plex's in my kitchen. My wife (and nanny) are not going to pull out their iphones to adjust the group volume. They just wanna hit a preset button to start some music (usually radioparadise), and adjust volume accordingly. Or hit PAUSE and stop all players, not mute the individual player.
I know someone else had suggested an alternate function for the pause button (it really should be the main function, not the alternate).
I do love the sound of all my devices! I currently I have a Powernode2 in my office, a Pulse Mini in my living room, and the plex's in the kitchen.
