This is not something Bluesound offers as the POWERNODE is an all in one solution and itself a streamer, preamp and amplifier.

Perhaps using a Preset would be beneficial as you can set the input and volume level.

In fact, this is currently my workaround. But that means that after the "avr preset" I have to select another preset first. I can't start a source directly without a preset if I don't want my ears to fall off.

So it would be nice to fix the volume only for one input and switch the volume level back when changing the source.

Honestly I cannot see this being added, a dedicated power amp would be the best solution and use the POWERNODE in another room.

You're right, I changed my flat so the use of the powernode isn't necessary anymore and there is no other room where it makes sense to use it. Better would be a node in my new situation. But it's sad to sell it instead of using it in another way.
Additionally, I think the amplifier of the powernode is more powerful than my avr

Yes the amplifier in the POWERNODE is excellent, being part of the Lenbrook group with NAD down the hallway amplification is going to be a high priority. The EDGE is less powerful but also very capable and in smaller living spaces more than most need.

One more reason to implement the fixed line-in I requested to use the POWERNODE for one more scenario :D
